Meet my friend Mike. We Started training together about 10 years ago concentrating on his general fitness. Mike has always valued his health and enjoyed the extra momentum that a Personal trainer can offer.
Mike is in his 70th year but is as fit as many 30 year olds. Mike is a professional in the local area and has a sedentary job however he exercises four mornings a week varying the sessions with strength and conditioning, cardiovascular, balance and hands on stretch for flexibility.
Mike frequently rides his bike to his Personal training sessions and after an hour of training he rides home, usually the long way. This has helped Mike with being physically prepared for the cycling events he participates in Australia and over seas from 120km to a 21 day journey achieving 1200km on his bike. He is a self-disciplined person always up for the challenge.
When we ran our first sugar free challenge in 2018 Mike was a lover of sugar in his coffee. After 6 weeks he kicked the habit. Six years later and he doesn’t add sugar to anything and has even inspired some of his own clients to beat the habit. The days that Mike is not in the gym he is actively looking for ways to move. He gardens and takes his Labrador for long bush walks at least 3 times a week. I could take a little credit for my guidance but really this super fit 70 year old is an inspiration to me and many of my other clients.
